DSI Dclink Tranconnect Host Service Didn\'t Start

Team,

Below is the issue :

Issue : The DSI tranconnect host service on Dclink application server didn’t start on Saturday 30th June at its scheduled start at 6:12 am EST.

The DSI tranconnect host service on Dclink application server sends data from DSI system to JD Edwards. Since the service was stopped , the data didnt move.

Analysis :
1. We are using Dclink 4.2 and JD Edwards Worldsoft B733 ERP system.
2. The issue repeated on Saturday’s 7th July and 21st July. The issue didn’t occur on 14th July.
3. There is a custom program J68DSISTR , which runs on JD Edwards As400 server. This program calls remote batch file (.bat) on Dclink application server to start the DSI tranconnect host service.

Below is the command which runs :

0043.00 /* Start the Service for DSI Tran Connect Host */
0044.00 RUNRMTCMD +
0045.00 CMD('f:\dclinkas400\dclinkstartTranHost.bat+
0046.00 ') RMTLOCNAME('XX.XXX.XXX.XXX' *IP) +
0047.00 RMTUSER('DCLINK') RMTPWD('XXXXXX') +
0048.00 WAITTIME(60)

4. This issue only occurs on Saturday.

5. Below is the log gathered from Iseries/AS400 system.

C:\WINNT\system32>net start "DSI TranConnect Host 4.2"
The service is not responding to the control function.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2186.
C:\WINNT\system32>net start "DSI Data Replication 4.2"
The DSI Data Replication 4.2 service is starting.
The DSI Data Replication 4.2 service was started successfully.

6. We checked with our network team and they didn’t find any issue.
7. There is no error seen in the Dclink log files and the event viewer log files.

Please let me know what actions had been taken by your team if similar issue was found by your team.

Thanks and Regards,
