Hi ,
We are in the process of changing some of the vocab overrides.
I took one data item AC01 changed it's row description through
Descrip.overrides
01 Test Description 1

went to address book revision, it shows the description fine.

Now went and changed back the description to
01 Test 2
went to address book revision, it shows
first description i.e. "Test Description 1"

Now I delete this override still it shows "Test Description 1"
in short anything I do it still shows up old description.
It should show either category code 01 or whatever I am defining..
:)-{..

There are no application level overrides.

I have deleted ddtext, dddict, glbtbl files from spec folder.
logged out logged in..no luck.

Am I missing any step????

TIA,

Regards,
venkat.
Hey Zoltan, this time I won't forget to specify the platform details.
Xe,AS/400 database SP 14.1

Hi Venkat,

You made me very happy specifying your platform details.
In response to you issue:

If I am right, OneWorld Just-In-Time installs (replicates) Data Items when it is first time referenced after client install. Further changes in Data Dictionary won't be replicated to the client.

If I remember well, prior XE it was enough to delete the mentioned spec files to make possible overrides repliactions (Excuse me, currently I can not make an experiment to test it.)

Something is changed in XE relating DD override changes replication as well Interactive Vocabulary override changes replication (supposly for UBE too.)

I suppose, OW stores DD descriptions for APPLs in the FDATEXT spec file which is unfortunately is not a deleteble one like GLBLTBL, DDDICT and DDTEXT.

My only suggestions are:
1.) Check-Out/Get the application
2.) Re-Install the client

Please, let us know that does it work one of them or doesn't. Thanks.
