A bit of system information, we are running on a single enterprise =
server with a single deployment server. We use Windows NT (Workstation =
and Server), SQL 7.0 and I am developing on a FAT client. I have a =
custom find/browse form which is over a custom table using a custom =
business view.
=20
Two problems exist, firstly one of the fields in the table is Cost =
Center, but the QBE for that field doesn't function. If I don't use the =
specific QBE field and I use other QBE fields I get the records, but if =
I enter anything in the QBE for the Cost Center I don't get any records =
in the grid. Using the UTB I can see the records contain the Cost =
Center that I am attempting to use in the QBE field, in addition I =
checked the field and QBE is not disabled.

My next problem, I believe is related to the system setup. If I use my =
a Table IO control using the business view (or the table) the system =
doesn't retrieve any records from the table. I have tested this using =
existing JDE business views and the same problem occurs. The reason =
that I think this problem is associated with a system setup issue is =
that initially the client didn't have the JDE ODBC driver on the local =
system. Perhaps we are missing something else...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark,
You have forgotten to state one important system information, your OneWorld release and SP level.
Where is your table reside? Does it reside in Local Acces jdeb7.mdb or in one of the shared data sources on the server?

Currently I have two coins for you to help.

1.) Revise the related OCM mappings for your table, environment, users, QBE setting and status.

2.) MCU=CostCenter has a Display Rule "*RAB" (Right adjust blank fill) that means, the entered value will be filled with blanks from the right. This is only for display purpose but not for storage. You do not have to enter the leading space into the MCU field when you want to filter on it.

Please, let us know more information about your problem when these two coin couldn't help.

Good luck,
Zoltán

Zoltan,

Thanks for the information. I was able to figure out all the issues. You
are correct about the *RAB issue, when I populated the table on the fat
client I didn't right justify the string value in Acesss!
