Has anyone ever done customizations to quality management?
In particular, I'm looking for ideas on a certain scenario we have in our business. For some of our QA tests, workers take a sample of finished products after they have been produced and hang onto them for a certain number days, then perform tests. These finished goods are created from various components, and the workers run some tests on some components and different tests on others.
As it stands in base JDE, we could configure specifications for each component and at testing time, the user could enter test results, component by component. This may be what we need to do. However, I think the user needs the ability when conducting a test to enter the finished good item number and then have the test results program pull up the specifications for the various component items. JDE tells me this can't be done with the base functionality.
Has anyone done a mod to enable something like this? Or do you have any alternative suggestions?
