I have couple generic questions regarding gen.bat functionality ... untill now we only had one 'JAS-enabled' env., so I am a little bit confused..
1) Is it correct that in the gen.bat utility (direct to database) ser. objects are generated for the environment, which I am logged into on my fat client?
Or environment (Path Code) name is taken from local JDBj.ini [JDBj-SEPC DATA SOURCE] or some other place ?
2) Do I understand correctly that when I select option ‘Local Spec files’ during Generation, specs for generation will be taken from the local Path Code which I am logged into ?
I guess in this case I will have to deploy a package to the local workstation every time I generate objects …
So what’s the best alternative way, - select ‘Remote Spec folder’ and choose a directory for the package that was just built?
Thanks a lot!
