Company Name

Hi ,

Where is the "company name" stored? (the one displayed on the top of the JDE screen). We have setup a second company by copying libraries. I am trying to change all the company specific info like this one.

Look in the Data Dictionary = #MENUTTL. You can change it there.

Hi,

Had to find this one a while ago too...it is the Alpha Description of Data
Element #MENUTTL in the Data Dictionary.

We wrote a little dream writer that will update this on our development box
each time we copy over our *COM library.

The "Global" company name on the top of all reports is the company name for
company 00000, and can be changed/updated from menu G09411 option #2.

In the Data Dictionary its item #MenuTTL

Dale is correct here, but keep in mind that company 00000 is your default
company that effects even payroll so you have to be sure that your payroll
is set to not use the default company. We just went through this we use a
lock box located in Chicago for AR payments that go directly to our bank in
Chicago. When we changed the address for 00000 it was being used in payroll
so our address on direct deposit slips and our payroll checks were wrong.

The company name stored in DD item #MENUTTL. Normally DD database located
in Common library across all environments. I have seen clients using
different common libraries per environments.
