Commit fail errors when changing dates on purchase orders?

We are experiencing commit fail errors when our users change promised delivry dates on purchase orders. I have seen commit fail errors at purchase order receipt but never during the entry process. Has anyone else ever seen this? If so can you tell me what causes this to happen? We did not have this issue until our latest full package this past weekend ...could something with the package caused this?

Futher infotmation regarding this issue.

This issue occurs when users are changing purchase orders that are part of the work order routing. They may change the vendor number as well as the dates but only the date change causes the error.
