COM and when to regenerate

Hi,
I am helping a client with some integration work and we have hit an issue I was hoping someone can shed some light on.

COM+ wrappers are used to link into 3rd party products but (and its a big BUT), we are changing some of the processing options and BF's that are used by the other supplier.

Can anyone give some guidelines about when you would have to regenerate a COM wrapper or whether if we are seeing "object kernal" issues would indicate a rebuild would be required.

As an apps person Im just a little out of my depth here!!

Warm regards

Peter

Because GenCom provides an interface between business function and COM, you only need to regen the COM wrappers if the Business Function Data Structure has changed.

If you change the business function without changing the DSTR, then your existing wrappers will be good.

The simplest procedure, however, may be to regen COM wrappers regardless of what changed...
