We have a need perhaps to modify the business view on several UBEs. However, in my past XE and earlier experience, this caused a lot of problems. Basically I recall that if you go into a UBE and select a different business view for a section, it essentially broke everything. Even if you replaced the view with a similar view over the same tables, all of your code that referenced fields in the view had to be reattached, basically going in and reclicking everything. Even then I recall sometimes having problems.
Now working with 9.0 for the first time, I was wondering if that is still an issue.
We may be asked to replace a view that is over the F0902 with a view that joins the F0902 with the F0006 so we can select on a Business Unit category code.
We have other options that would not require changing a view but would appreciate any thoughts on whether replacing a business view on a UBE would be advisable.
