Celeron CPU ?

Several years ago we had problems trying to get OW running on a Celeron based CPU, we are starting a 8.10 upgrade and the same question is at hand - Can we use Celeron CPUs for Fat clients, Citrix Clients, and/or WEB clients and is there a significant performance hit?

I have seen statements in the archives about JDE not liking Celeron processors but I have also seen where people have been doing development on Celeron, confusion seems to be a constant state anymore.

Hello There;

Listen if u're going to implement Thin Client Technology for ur clients ( Web or Citrix ) then you can use the celeron CPUs; since nothing will be running on the Client Side... for the developers it's recommended to have Full cache CPUs for best performance...
