Can we force CSV files to appear with 2 decimals for numeric fields?

Hi List,

I have searched and searched both the list and Oracle and could not find an answer to this . . .

Here is an example:
Totals: 54.2 1.9 52.3

The user wants these and all other numbers to appear as:

Totals: 54.20 1.90 52.30

Is that possible or is this a MS/Excel issue?

Tried overriding this report in P93081 to UTF8. No result.

Would appreciate any suggestions/feedback on this issue.

Thanks,

Will.

Will,

The posts on JDEList that deal with this topic - and there are a lot of them - do actually answer your question - you haven't found a solution, because there is no short solution and it is an MS Excel thing.

You mentioned that you had searched JDEList and Oracle, but it might be an idea to look at the Microsoft website for an Excel based solution (eg. write and use an Excel macro).

Hi,

It's just a numeric formatting in excel...have you tried clicking on the column where the numbers are and click on the comma style button in excel...it formats the numbers to show a comma sign and two decimal places.

Hope this helps.

These are Excel default settings that can be changed through control panel/region and language/Additional settings. You can set these settings up on user terminal machine.
