backorder release

HI all

Does backorder release program P42117 bypass grade and potency preference if set up or for that matter does it in general bypass any related preference profiling setup

If the backorder release bypasses the preference will it bypass even if sales order inquiry program called from within is activated for preference.

Most sales order preferences are only executed in Sales Order Entry. So
other steps such as Back Order Release do not typically call the
preferences. There is a separate batch program which can be run to execute
some preferences, separate from the R40400/P40400 program, but I doubt it
calls the Grade and Potency preference because it would have to have the
logic to change the lot assigned to the sales order.
