Authorization code

Newbie question of the day!

I am trying to reinstall from the CDs the OneWorld software.
It comes to a screen with an autogenerated serial number and requests a authorization code.

Where do I obtain that code please?

Well, you are on the World software list. You will have better luck on
the One World list. I would assume you would need to get this code from
Oracle, but just guessing.

You've posted to the World forum, but we'll let it slide this time.

To get the authorization code, you need to go to the Oracle website and log into Customer Connection. From there go to Support and find this thing called 'Software Protection Codes'. Download the executable for the version of JDE you are running. Install this program. It will work as a Windows service and provide you with the auth #. When you log into JDE and the security screen pops up, go to Form > Get Auth (or something like that; I cannot recall the exact menus at the top of my head).
