AS/400 Server JDE.INI

Hi List-

I am working with our server JDE.INI to tune and correct--JDE has three published resources that are all incomplete in one way or another--even saying different things on some entries of the .INI.

(Please note our system in my signature)

I am asking for some of you kind folks with an AS/400 server if you could send me a copy of your server JDE.INI to better tune ours--even more, we have worked with ours for awhile and have found some things at our shop that has prompted JDE to put on the Knowledge Garden some breaking news with important changes/additions to the JDE.INI--specifically for the AS/400. Perhaps if we collectively put our heads together we can put together a list of our own recommendations for the JDE.INI on the server--even the client--that would optimize performance for all. We have the privilege of actually using the system--warts and all--in live environments everyday REAL TIME!

"None of us is as smart as all of us"

Thanks for the help-
David

700+ fat client users? Holy Moly... how do you have time for anything
but running around and fixing client issues?

Not sure if attachments are making it these days... but here goes:

I'd be happy to send you ours. It is quite "vanilla" since we haven't dinked with it at all. I would be very interested in any documentation on any setting changes that improve things. I will check the KG for the documents you mentioned as well. Send me a direct email to ssolberg@washcorp.com and I will reply with an attachment.

Thanks for all the replies to the post and your willingness to give an INI--I have discovered a few things that have already drastically improved our performance, but we feel as if a few more things can be done--I will send you a copy of ours after I see if we have done things different than you.

I could still use more--you may email it directly to schoendb@fotf.org

Thanks again--I will share some findings with you soon!
