There are quite a few tried and tested products in the market, each having its own strenghts. I personally have some experience and exposure to Essentio Archivist - http://www.essentio.com/pdf/Essentio-Archivist-JD-Edwards.pdf

Other products - PurgeIT , ARCTOOLS etc.

Depending on your needs, which you didn't mention, they all differ quite a lot in functionality as @ice_cube210 already said. Most of the vendors are regular guests at JDE conferences so maybe you just want to browse their sessions and demos to have a first impression of what which software does and if that works for you. I've ssen a couple myself at this year's INFOCUS e.g.

We have used ARCTOOLS from DC Software to purge / archive data from JDE.

Purge IT from Klik It also looks like a good option.

We have had sucess with Essentio. Maintains JDE table integrity and allows for custom table archive and purge.
