Advanced Pricing for Non-stock LineTypes

We have set up Advanced Pricing and this works very well for Stock Line Type Items. However, when we try this for Non-stock Items it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone been able to get Advanced Pricing to work with Non-stock Items?

Actually my cohort just did it... it did it based on line type however...
set up the stocking type as a S, but used a line type that didn't effect
inventory (inventory interface = N)... and this allowed it to go through
Advanced pricing, but not effect inventory. Let me know. thanks, Bobby

Pieter,

One of the consultants that teaches my Mastery Workshop on Advanced Pricing
found this problem as well. Here's what he told me:

Non stock pricing works with line type N, but the stocking type can't be N,
it has to be S. This forces you to setup item/branch records…but no item
ledger records get written because the line type is N. Doesn't really make
sense, but at least its a good workaround.

Good luck,

If you check the Edit Item Master checkbox on your Non-stock line type
definition then Advanced Pricing should work.

Hope this helps..

can you explain this further? What were the other parameters for the line type setup (eg, was 'Edit Item Master for non-stock Item' checked?)

Can you please tell me if you have found it affects the Sales order UOM when entereing a Sales order with this type of a setup and also did it create the the Accounting entries ?

HI Paul - Sorry for the delay... we set up a special line type using "D"
inventory interface... so it would use the Advanced Pricing, but not relieve
the inventory... let me know! thanks, Bobby
