JDEList,

I have had a look at the current Client MTRs and our config (E811 sp1/TR 8.97/Win XP) is not listed - our install is a few years old now. We currently use IE7 and I have been asked about IE8 or IE9 working with our JDE installation. I have also been asked about Win7 working with our JDE installation. Was E811 sp1/TR 8.97/Win XP and IE8 or IE9 ever on the MTR? I'm thinking possibly IE8, but not IE9. Was E811 sp1/TR 8.97/Win7 ever on the MTR? This one I doubt. I am also interested in thoughts or experience with IE8 or IE9 working with E811 sp1/TR 8.97/Win XP or Win7 client working with E811 sp1/TR 8.97.

To complicate our options, we are expecting to upgrade our JDE Installations to the latest and greatest, probably going live late 2012. So we also have the option of maintaining the current status until then, but I'm fairly certain that we will need to upgrade our desktop config to Win7 and IE8/9 before then.

IE8 - official support began with TR 8.98.1.0.
IE9 - not supported yet.

Windows 7 support as an HTML client running IE8 began with TR 8.98.2.
Windows 7 support as a local web development/fat client began with TR 8.98.4.2.

Highest OS supported as a local web development/fat client for TR 8.97 is Vista with SP2, though honestly, if it works with Vista, I don't see why it won't work with Windows 7. I suppose you'd have to search to see if anybody reported already trying it and getting it to work.

Ken,

Thanks for the information.

I would like to know if anyone has tried or got IE8 or Win7 to work with E811 and TR 8.97.2.1.

We have 8.10 working on Win7 with IE8 and IE9 on TR 8.97.1.2 and OAS 10.1.3.1

hi, we currently run TR 8.98.1.1 and have some end users using windows7 + IE8. Oracle says the combo windows7 + IE8 is not

fully approved and supported by Product Support. Due to business reasons we cannot upgrade to 8.98.2 right now, so the question is: is there any info which can tell us about the possible issues that could be faced with windows7 + IE8, having TR 8.98.1.1 ? Appreciate feedback, thank you.-
