Vertex Payroll Upgrade

Hi. We are in the middle of running parallels for our Vertex Payroll Tax upgrade and have run into some sporadic deduction issues. It seems that the excludable amounts are not calculating correctly for some of our employees with 401k deductions. Strange thing is that it works for some and doesn't work for others. Cannot isolate any differences between the do/don't work employees. They are all using the same DBA codes. Has anybody who has already completed the Vertex Upgrade had similar issues? If so, what was the fix?

Our Vertex is 2.4
We are having an issue with tax not being taken out for ss and medicare for 401k contributions. Our DBAs are setup correctly and we can't isolate the problem. We are going to place a call to edwards and vertex in the morning.

Have you gotten anywhere on your sporatic issue?

Check the F0701730 - Vertex Filing Status Table. This table controls pretax deductions and it should have 363 records (could be more or less depending on the latest Payroll ESU that has been applied.) Try taking the latest payroll ESU and running the R0701730. This ube populates the F0701730 and is part of the ESU special instructions.
