Did anyone know any solution to load the JDE Database into the SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition x64 bits Server (Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition x64), since it is supported since 8.98.1.1 but the installation CD is at 8.98 base which only recognised SQL 2005?
I have try to add the registry entry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\ with an entry InstalledInstances (which is REG_MULTI_SZ with the value 'MSSQLSERVER'), but the installation not able to load the JDE database into the SQL Server 2008. Please help.

Did you follow the entire set of instructions in Appendix B of the white paper? That shows you how to create a batch file to update the installer program so you can see the instance name when running the Platform Pack Install.

For those of you who haven't seen this yet, there is a white paper on MetaLink3 called "Tips for Running EnterpriseOne with SQL Server 2008" which was updated on June 15, 2009. You may find the white paper here (link, MetaLink access required).

Hi,

You have to apply the tools release 8.98.10 on both the Deployment & Enterprise servers before running the installation work bench.

To apply tools release 8.98.10 to Enterprise server, you need to install Server Manager console on the deployment server and server manager agent on both the deployment & enterprise servers. But there is a bug with server manager 8.98.10, which does not have the option to upload SQL Server 2008 driver files. This is going to be fixed as part of the tools release 8.98.1.2 version, which may be available by end of June '09.

The bottomline is, you have to go for tools release 8.98.12 to successfully complete the installation of JDE 9.0 with SQL Server 2008 database.
