Basics JDE

Hi JDE community!

I am absolutely new to JDE. I am going to do reconciliation of data in inventory system and GL.

- Where can I get some basics on JDE?
- Why do I see tasks in format "FI2004", "PA4009" etc on my system, but in this forum the tasks are e.g. "F4105". There is just figures after "F", no other letters.
- If I can't find FI4105/F4105 in my system does that mean I do not have access to these tasks?

The one book I've used is "J.D. Edwards OneWorld, The Complete Reference" by Miller, Jacot, Stern. It was left behind by the previous JDE analyst here. It is a pretty good balance between introduction and depth for me and I'm likewise a newbie with JDE.

Apart from that and the 3/4s of a ton of product manuals I haven't discovered very much documentation about JDE (I find the Oracle website a bit sparse).

Hi,

The best place to start with reconciliation of inventory and GL is via
the As Off menu.
You can find this within G41 (on fast path) and then I think it is in
the advanced operations menu, look for As Off.

With this term "As Off Processing" you can find a very handy white paper
on the knowledge garden, that will get you going.
