    High CPU on SQL server

    All,

on the microsoft SQL server, I noticed a session ID is taking up an excessive amount of CPU time which is coming from the web server.
How can I tie that back to which user ?

    any help is greatly appreciated.

    we are on SQL2008R2, tools 9.1.5.7, E1 9.0 update1

How are you determining it is coming from the web server?

Is it by any chance a Dell Intel server running Windows? We had a problem somewhat similar and found we had to power off the server (holding down the power off button for 30-60 seconds), physically unplug it for 30-60 seconds, and then restarting it. We had a few servers with these symptoms and this trick applied the bandage we needed!
