Oracle 8.1.6 to 8.1.7 Upgrade

We are currently an Oracle 8.1.6 shop, but our DBA wants to upgrade the system to 8.1.7 later this year. Has anyone performed this upgrade on OneWorld and is there anything we should watch out for?

Xe is compatible with 8.1.7. However go for 8.1.7.1 and above as per JDEdwards recommendation(Otherwise reports sometimes give incorrect results). We recently upgrade to 8.1.7.3.0 and everything is ok. Make sure that client and server are at the same release level of the Oracle.

Hi Tim,

There aren't problems, you can upgrade with Migration assistant (use this type if you have a big database) or exporting all tablespace, uninstalling Oracle 8.1.6, installing Oracle 8.1.7 and importing all tablespace.
