JDE E1 and MS SQL (2008 R2)

within the next couple of months, MS SQL 2008R2 will be installed as our back-end database server for E1 9.0.

From dba perspective best practices, what are your recommendations, in terms of database maintenance?

Do I need to keep anything specific in mind for JDE or should I treat them as any database and leverage microsoft's guidelines.
