Matthew,

The reason why you can't find it is that it does not exist in the oracle knowledge jungle.

That is a field level solution that various consultants have developed. I had some friendly help from a consultant and was able to get it to work. You might want to consider a short term contract to help you to architect that solution. Well worth the investment.

Have a nice weekend.

There is no current documentation available. At some point there was some early GATS stuff from around 2002 but that was never updated and subsequently removed.

If you dig up an old CNC dinosaur they might have it or you might want to look at bring in someone who has done this before.

I have about 5 clients using a full HA solution and some even with DR as well.

There are several "tricks" to the Enterprise Server and the entire load balancing solution.

I just presented a session at a conference this past Monday. I've attached a copy of the presentation.

We have a number of CNC who are proficient in this solution so if the need arises...........

So of course we can't give away the bread and butter but you're welcome to what I've already put out into the public domain.

Colin

Thanks, Colin, but I'm having trouble downloading the attachment. Maybe it's just me, but I get an error when I click on the link.

Okay 2nd try.............

I have a whitepaper on my website. But it doesn't give it all away.

Again, this is bread and butter for consultants. Lots of research and work go into understanding load-balancing of application servers. Giving it away for free pretty much undermines a LOT of consultants work out there. Engage a professional CNC Implementation Specialist, and they'll put something together for you. I personally have Arrowpoint, Cisco CSS AND F5 - and I'm sure others have different solutions out there...
