IBM Websphere 7 on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit?

Hi,

Interested to know if you are successfully running 64-bit IBM WAS 7.x on a Windows 2008 R2 / 64-bit server?

MTRs and Oracle suggest only 32-bit is supported.

Why would you want to run WAS 64-bit?

Thanks for your reply and I've now seen your other post(s) on this. Very useful!

We're going through a hardware / software refresh on our E1 platform and looking to go 64-bit OS / SQL 2008. Main reason for considering the 64-bit WAS was around performance and compatibility of the 32-bit version on our 64-bit OS. We may opt to stick to the 'supported' 32-bit version now.
