How do I set a starting menu for a user profile? E1 8.12

In Xe one could set up a starting menu for a user, by adding the menu id in the user profile (Menu Identification).

In E1 8.12 has any set ups changed or it can be achieved in the same way?

We are told that this has to be achieved by fine cut on menu, <font color="blue"> </font> Can anyone share any thoughts and experience to make the process faster?

Do a search of JDEList for "task view" and you will locate information that will assist you. Here is a thread to start you off.

If you're just trying to set the default for when they sign on, add the following statement to the [Explorer] section of the user's jde.ini file.
ExplorerStart=TASK:999
or whatever task you want to default to.

All users in 8.12 are on the web
PS Cannot modify jde.ini 'cause different users need see different tasks
