Copying Role A to Role B changed the behaviour of Role A

I have copied roles to other roles several times without incident. However, this time, the nature of role A changed after the copy - the menu was no longer restricted & although we have inclusive security, the objects were no longer included. It's like it had switched to be exclusive security for this one role only.

The role that the security was copied to performed properly.

Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe it was not caused by the copy and the timing is purely coincidental?

Do you have both roles assigned to the same user? Did you look at the Role sequencing to see the order.

The defined case is not possible with the object issues around inclusive/exclusive unless the F00950 has been violated with SQL. Please attach screen shots.
