Server Package Build Problem

I am encountering a problem when building a server package with business functions. The folders are created on the enterprise server and the serverbuild.log indicates the message is sent back to the build machine but the files are never transferred from the build machine. The job just times out and the jde.log indicates the message was never received. The strange thing is an update package with the UBE works fine.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks - Bill

Hi,

May you be more specific?
OneWorld release?
Operating System?
Database?
Fat clients? Web Clients? Citrix?

Release 8.12 Tools 8.97.1.2 Windows 2003 SQL Server 2005 Virtual Servers

This problem is occurring between the deployment server and the enterprise server. The initial communication is perforemed between the deployment and enterprise server as the directories are created on the enterprise server. The deployment server doesn't send the files to the enterprise server and the log indicates a timeout as never receiving a response from the enterprise server.

The client has said there is no problem with the network.

You told that Update Package is working fine.
Then can u tell me that "Was the update package containing any Business Function ?"

We had the same problem. Our problem was fixed by correcting the [JDE_CG] section on the enterprise server's JDE.INI. The server manager missed a semi colon between the path. Please take a look at it carefully.

Good luck.
