Tools for EnterpriseOne equivalent to World/Dream Writers

Hi to everybody !

I am about to upgrade from A7.3/OneWorld XE in coexistence to EnterpriseOne 8.12. One of the issues that arises is that there is no real equivalent in EnterpriseOne for World Writers. World Writers has a high flexibility for end users, which is not comparable to RDA, plus the extra burden of object promotion, package build, etc.

I was checking for other tools that may be useful as Crystal Reports. Crystal has the flexibility but the reports can not be submitted, and Crystal lacks some flexibility that the World Writers has.

Does anyone has similar experiences? How did you solved it?

Welcome, sometimes you have to live with what you have.

Mostly pepole use RDA or Crystal reports. unless you want to open database to SQL and use it for quick reporting.

There is no built in products in E1 equivalent to FASTR, STAR etc. But there are third party vendors offer products equivalent to these but costs $$. We have one called GL Company and it is working out really well for the accounting users. My personal opinion is it is better than FASTRs.
