SQL Native Driver on ERP8

Hi all,

I currently have an issue using the SQL2005 native driver on my test UBE/APP box.

I have downloaded ESU JE10119 which allows use of either the SQL 2000 or 2005 ODBC driver but when building a package only a client side package builds.

For test purposes I created a new 'native' datasource which works fine on the client but not server side.

Has anyone out there configured the new SQL2005 native driver with ERP8?

We are testing with

ERP8, SP23_R1
App Server WinNT 2003 Std
SQL Server WinNT 2003 Ent / IA64 / SQL2005 (business data/control tables)
SQL Server WinNT 2003 Ent / IA64 / SQL2000 (System tables)
JAS Server WinNT 2003 Std / WAS6 / SP23_R1
Clients WinNT / WinNt2003 std or WinXP sp2

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Is PORTTEST running fine on the Enterprise Server?
What about running batches in Pristine? Do they work?

I have 2 live client on ERP 8/Xe with SP23_R1 on SQL Server 2005 SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1 with no issues. I didn't install any ESU's to do the database upgrade (planner still isn't out).

I did notice in your config that you're using IA64 --> this isn't supported with 8.0

Also did you install the Native client on the Enterprise and Database Servers? Once you use 2005 one place you need to use the Native Client everywhere.

Can you run UBE's on the test box? You don't need to build a package, just copy the pathcode from the other Enterprise Server.
