Lineprinter on AS400

Hi List,

we need to print invoices on a lineprinter connected to an AS400. Our problem is that we cannot get the output with 8lpi spacing.
The printer is set to the correct value. I even opened the generated PDF file with a text editor an saw all my settings in the PDF file.
However, when we print it comes out with 6lpi.

Am I missing a OW setting or an AS400 setting ?
We run E8.9 on V5R3. The printer is an Epson 2180 physically connected to an HP jetdirect box.

Hi,

You have to define the Printer(Line printer) properly in JDE.You can define the width,length,DPI etc for the printer.
And do the immediate print from JDE.

Yes, and also, we had to make our developers study and use the very good (at least for 8.95) tools peoplebooks documentation on the topic -- "Designing Reports to Run on Line Printers," plus the few other documents out there like, ott-01-0114. All these docs clearly cover the font and page-size differences at design-time (Windows) and run/print-time (AS400).
