database password entry

Hi All,

We are trying to sign in this morning and we are getting the database password entry screen. I have checked the JDE user ID and it is enabled. I have ended and restarted the services and I have re booted the delpoyment server. None of this seems to be working. I built two full packages over the weekend, could this be the problem? I have done this before with no issues.

Any help is welcome,
Thanks
Stephanie

Stephanie,

When you see the database password entry screen it's most likely due to:

A. Can't connect to the database / server
B. The database account used by OneWorld users (typically JDE) has had been disabled or its password was changed (this is not the OneWorld User - but the database User!).

I find that the best way to pinpoint this problem is to look in the JDE.LOG on the client. In fact before I do any other troubleshooting I always look at this file. All OS and middleware errors will be logged here. You might see perhaps that there is an authorization error against your system account. You might also see some other client access related message.

Hope this helps
