ERP9 Setting up Security Server

Hi,

below is what i get while i start my jde services with sercurity server on, on a Win2K platform with Oracle 9i.

KNT0000310 - Either F98OWSEC table could not be opened or no records were found for JDE in F98OWPU table.

can you suggest a resolution for this..tried all option available on KG but nothing seems to work. Though there is ESU PF211 which talks about a BSFN modification B98OWPU. Will this ESU resolve the issue...

On the other hand a very basic Question:
I am involved in a development project, considering this
1) What would be the impact of not having the security server?
2) Can we restrict users from deleteing objects without the security server?

Sounds silly, but have you created entry in user security for JDE profile.

With EO89, he security profile is stored in a table separate from
F98OWSEC. There is a new Form Exit in User Security that you must use
to populate this table, I think the Form exit is called Add Security
Role?

Hi List,

The issue got resolved after i applied the Update 0 on the DV9 pathcode. After applying and building a full package (client and server) ..from a workstation i logged in DV environment and redo the whole security setup..things worked perfectly.
