if I understand correctly, you are trying to determine if there is a way to use SQL GROUP/SUM functions within the OneWorld ReportWriter (ERW).

I'm sorry to say the answer is no, you cannot. The reportwriter can simulate this by reading, grouping, and summing detail data - but cannot issue requests to the database for summary data only.
