Sunny...
I'm a little unclear on your question and the document you are
referencing...but here are the plain facts...ERP 9 is written in UDB
compliant code. In order to run ERP 9 you will need a UDB compliant DB.
For those, like yourself it appears, that are using SQL Server or Oracle,
this shouldn't be a big deal, as they are UDB compliant. The folks that
this change will impact the most are those currently running DB2 on an
AS/400 platform and need to perform a DB conversion to DB2 UDB. Though
this may have changed, from what I understand, all tables except for
Business Data tables, must be in UDB format. Those installations that
currently are running on DB2 on AS/400's, will be able to either convert
or not convert their Business Data tables at time of upgrade. Though I
believe that all future releases of ERP X will require all tables to be
in UDB format.
Hope this helps.
Jim
