Java and MSSQL-Performance

Hello List,

I just did a demo-installation of Xe with SP20. ES is W2K with SP3 and MS-SQL2000, SP2; the webserver is W2K with Websphere 4AServer, Fixpack5,
The core installation went fine but I tried to genertae the serialized objects for y DV7333-Pathcode and the performance is more then poor. Tbales,NER, .. wehre o.k. but for the reports it is a never(?) ending process. There are nearly 50000 entries in the queue and it takes abou 1 hour for 4000 entries. The ES is a dual-processor system with 1 GB of memory and the cpu-utilization is 50% ? I have no idea, what the system is doing.
I did a similar installation with Oracle - the ES and webserver were even smaller - and the generation for the reports run abou 3 hours?
Any ideas - do I have to change anything on the ES - the database for DV733 is about 4GB (2,5 are used)?
Regards
Herbert

Did you check that select into/bulkcopy database option is set to true for JDE_DV7333 ?

I came across a document on the KG relating to the field types for the OID
field in the F989999 and f989998 being defined in a manner that particularly
impacts performance on a SQL Server. Also I remember someone on the list
mentioning a performance issue with a recent MDAC release.
