Xe Upgrade

Can someone tell me what the reality is in implementing Xe and how it deals with existing custom mods. Is it similar to installing new service packs or does it require more special handling? How much time did you require to accommodate this and how many mods were you working with? Sample project plan? Is it best to use same "box" as B7332 environments or best to use a new enterprise server, Deployment server? Any comments on SQL 2000 vs SQL 7.0?

Ugrade is a complex procedure including install and customize
tasks.
Depends on the business data past growth table conversion can take several
hours to complete. You'll maintain a multiple foundations
scheme too.

Later you'll deal with customized objects using visual compare
tools. Not like "apply ESU" my friend.
