Hi All, This is probably an easy question for many people but I have just joined a company using A7.3pc000E9 , we need to upgrade to A7.3PC00016 , what is the best way to do this ? , do I have to load all of the Cume releases between E9 and cume16 or is it just a single job , its at least 10 years since I worked on a World site and my knowledge is a bit rusty , appreciate any help.

You should ask Oracle if you can still get A7.3PC00016 from them, as
Upgrades to JDE World A7.3PC00016 may no longer be available.

- Oracle encourages customers to upgrade to A91-A93 because
IBM will not support O/S V5R4 after September 2013.

- As shown at these sites, releases A91, A92, and A93 are
available, as they are compliant with IBM O/S V6R1 and V7R1.

- To answer your other question, any release that you elect to
upgrade to is a one-step upgrade. All cumulative code is packaged into
one package.

What motivates your desire to upgrade to A7.3PC00016 instead of A93?

What documentation of A7.3PC00016 features and benefits did you find to
prompt a desire to choose that release instead of A93?

Re: RE: World Upgrade to Cume 16

Its being driven by the single euro payments area (sepa) coming into being in 2014 , the minimum requirement for World is cume 16 , they just want to get to that level I suppose.

if you are upgrading because you want to go to IBM release V6R1 ot V7R1 you may want to check out the V6R1A73 release - and depending on your current Cume - the document lists Required SAR's.
but note that you will have to Reinitalize SLM to make the core programs work. X98UBP will throw a software protection error unless you initalize the Lic Manager(SLM).
