World to E1 Upgrade / Migration

Hi,

We plan to do a World to EnterpriseOne Migration for our system. I've a couple of concerns on the same :

1) What do we mean by Migration as againist a normal Upgrade. All upgrade documents for World to E1 as labelled as Migration instead of Upgrade. Is there any specific difference? Does migration mean we use the same database for E1 i.e. which was being used in World in which case we need not worry about our customizations in World?

2) Talking of customizations, how do we migrate our customizations in World to E1? The migration documents do not talk of porting the customizations to the E1?

3) Is there any specific CUM level we have to be on before migratiing to E1?

It is migration, because, you are changing the basic structure of the data. You are no longer running DB400. You change databases. As for customizing,, there ain't no green screen or RPG in E1, also, make sure you have a solid migration path for your FASTRS.
