World A9.2 - Action code security at the group level

Greetings,

I have a new World A9.2 install.

JDE can sign on, but can't add users via G94/P0092.
JDE lacks action code security to do so.

I went into action code security to change this, and found that JDE doesn't have authority to that either.

W/in action code security, I see entries for "*pws0000" and "*pws0001" and the description mentions "group profile".

Does this "group profile" relate to an iSeries user profile setting?
If so, which setting?
If not, what "group profile" might this be related to?

Hi,

Firstly this sounds like a JDE *group profile - they have a naming convention of leading with an asterisk.

Secondly, you will find that not all programs will be action code capable - and being able to create a record in the table does not prove a program is.
