Work with Next Numbers by Company/Fiscal Year

Hi all,

We'd like to numder invoices by year so that the number of invoice wil start with number of the current year.
Does anybody have an experience of working with Next Numbers by Company/Fiscal Year with numberring by year?
Could you share your experience: advantages and disadvantages.
