WEB Generation Server configuration

Hi list,

I'm trying to configure multiple foundation on my Web generation server (W2K server).
We are using SP21_L1 and we want to test SP22_K1.
I have deployed SP22_K1 foundation package and I would like to know if I can now generate serialized objects or if I must before install SP22J_K1_IntelNT (i.e. is \B7\system\generator\WEB-INF OK after deploying SP22_K1 foundation or not?)

Yes you do. When you start gen.bat, the generator tries to match jingen.dll file against the Java *.class files. If they are not on the same SP level, it will give you an error message and then exit.

So I have installed SP22J_K1_IntelNT.exe, which is a full SP to install, different than SP21_L1(only One Off).
According to pdf document (Web Server Installation), I see no difference between the two SP to update the generation directory !?

I only update the gen directory when there is SP level change such as SP21 to SP22 or if there is a specific SAR that has to do with generation.
