Has anyone heard anything regarding the level of changes for the W-2 and/or 1099 programs for this year end? Since our company is stuck at 7.2.9, I was hoping to get a handle on what our manual effort will be this year.

Thanks,

Janet,
Not much change on the W-2's really. Just make sure you specify 2002
instead of 2001 for the year values. There have been some changes on the
1099's however. A new field has been added to each record type and a new
1099 type has been created (shifted an item from an existing type (like
1099-MISC being one type) to this new type) - new type probably should not
affect you, but won't guarantee that. IRS has issued a notice on the
changes. I would recommend going to the IRS web site for information on the
changes.
