Voucher Logging & F0911.GLHDGJ alias

First off, we are using the standard JDE voucher logging entry (P0411.ZJDE0008) and the standard voucher journal review (P0011.ZJDE0002) applications to create and post the voucher records. My question pertains to the F0911.GLHDGJ alias ('Historical Date - Julian'). How (or does) this attribute get used or populated during the voucher logging process? We are experiencing errors with the exchange rates used during the redistribution post.

Here's an example scenario. Note that we are using a multi-currency environment and creating the voucher logging records and posting in one period, and then redistribute and post in the next period. The exchange rates for the two periods are different.

1) Voucher Logging record created using an exchange that is different between the 2 periods as defined above.
2) Records are posted.
3) Redistribute the voucher records in the next period.
4) Records are posted.

What we noticed is the 'Edit for Posting' business function (B0900055) checks the F0911.GLHDGJ alias for a value. If a value exists, the f(x) uses HDGJ to find the x-rate - otherwise the F0911.GLDGJ alias is used. For us, HDGJ is alway blank - thus causing the f(x) to use GLDGJ - which is incorrect.

Any thoughts?

P.S. - We looked at the DD Item Glossary notes and didn't find them very useful. Further definition would be helpful also.
