Viewing OSA or CSV output from HTML web client

Hi List,

In the web client, if the work with submitted jobs function to 'view
OSA' or 'view CSV' is used (to view a FormScape OSA output or a CSV file
report output) they both come up with an internet explorer pop up
message that states you are trying to download from a web site the
'com.jdedwards.jas.ube'.

I think this is a nuance of the later IE security and for the OSA for
example I created a file association on the local workstation for .UBE
to run the PDF viewer (Adobe) which allowed this pop up message to be
responded to by pressing the 'open' button (and it opened Adobe to view
the OSA output).

However I now realize it is doing the same for the 'View CSV' output
option which if I amend the file association for .UBE to open Excel this
works OK but knocks the other OSA capability out.

Does anyone know what the function is doing here or if there is some way
in IE to overcome this ?

Thanks,

Andy,

I believe this is controlled by the registry

HKEY_CLASS_ROOT/MIME/Database/content Type

There you should see an application/csv which will contain .ube
change this to .csv

you should also see an application/pdf (if not create it) and add extension .pdf
