I want to write report show me what the user has menus and environments. but I think the report is difficult to do it by JdEdwards Because I missing some tools . can any one change my mind .

Hi Robert

If the users initial program is J98INITA the environments they have access to, are listed in the F0093 table. If it is J98INIT this comes from the F0092 record.

Menu access is as you suggest more complex. We have been creating applications for this problem for many years. If you wish to create a report of the menus and options users have access to you need to consider……

The User’s Initial Menu
Their access to Menu Travel and Fast Path
The users mask setting (including *Group and *Public)
The Menu and the menu option masks
Hidden selections

Let me know if you need any more details.

Robert,

I think you will find this difficult to do and is why Leith (for QSoft) and myself (for ALLout) have created products to do this. Have a go using Leith's instructions but if it looks over-complicated maybe look at the tools we both offer. You would find (speaking for ALLOut) that we can do this very cheaply and the install time is practically zero. I expect Leith would say the same for QSoft.

Cheers
