Upload Fixed Assets A7.3c10

In a new acquisition, 6 companies from an existing JDE World A7.3c10 environment, has been created. Using z-file processing we have been able to bring over the open AR, open AP, and GL balances. However, there does not seem to be a z-file process on this version of JDE to bring over re-valued Asset Master records.

After searching JDEList, I came across plenty of information from 2001 and 2002. In one post, there is talk of a JDE Fixed Assets Conversion Toolkit:

Has anyone out there recently uploaded Fixed Assets into World A7.3? or know about this toolkit? We have a call into Oracle but no response yet.

Currently I’m looking into simply copying the F1201 records over with associated files using the new balances. We are starting fresh so there is no need to bring over existing depreciation transactions. I’m just worried about integrity issues. The last time I uploaded Fixed Assets was in 1995 World A5.2!

Alex - You're right, there is no Z process for FA in World A7.3. The dat a
has to be placed with a custom program or entered manually (gak). I've
done a dozen of these things. Also, in regards to FA Conversion Toolkit,
I've used it but the version that I used didn't have the P1202 validation , so
I had the programmer copy the code from the P1202 and then it worked fine .
Otherwise, there is no data validation or error messages when you try to
load to the F1202 file. And, according to Murphy's Law and every bit of
common sense, you will have errors without the validation code.
