Sorting report by calculated variable

Hi,
Does anyone know how to sort a report by a variable instead of an object from the existing business view.
for example I have a report with the last column being a simple calculation:
Variable 1= Data Item 1-Data Item 2
now I want to sort the report in descending order by Variable 1
any ideas?

Hi, we achieved this by creating a temp workfile, pump in all the necessary data with one extra field which is the calculated field, created new business view for the workfile and then build another section or another report to print from the new business view, with the calculated field in sequencing. Hope it helps.
