A client receives orders for configured items at an offshore dist center. The config items are assembled at the US manufacturing facility, and transferred to the dist center along with other product. Due to shipping expenses, the client will not ship from the manufacturing facility directly to the customer, but rather to the dist center that then forwards it.
I have tried setting a new "configured - purchased" stocking type (would require mod to SO Entry to recognize this STKT as configured) and set up branch plant relationships. I get the ST/OT process to work through MRP, but the configured string does not come across, so the manufacturing facility does not know what the configuration is on the orders.
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
