Shipment Status does not advance while using P4205

Hi All,
When we try to ship confirm using P4205, the order status proceeds to the next status but the Shipment status does not advance although the transaction hits the item ledger.

You can run the R4981 to update the status on the shipment and you have the option of updating the F4211 next status too. This can alsoadd a freight line if appropriate.

You should use Transportation Shipment Confirmation P49645. This will process the shipment and call the P4205 to process the sales order.

When I use P4915, it updates the shipment statuses but when I try using P4205 it does not update the shipment status.

An mentioned in a previous post, the shipment status will move prior to the P4205, probably with the P49640. Are you starting your process from Work with Loads (P4960) or are you bypassing the load build process.

Hi there!

When you ship confirm transportation orders, you can either

1. Start ship confirm from P4915 -> P49645. This will call P4205 to confirm the sales orders on the shipment you have selected

2. confirm using P4205 and the let R49500 run in batch by scheduler. This will update the shipments if all the related sales order lines have been confirmed by P4205

In both cases, you need to set up processing options in P49645 so the system knows what the ship confirmeed status of sales order lines is

Both of the above assuming you do not use loads

Running P4205 only does not update your shipments
